Motion is the first Goodsole made for pace. A breathable engineered-knit upper hugs the foot, a sculpted foam midsole soaks up the ground, and the GDSL mark sits large on the side because this one was never meant to hide. A light silver knit on a white sole that reads almost metallic in the sun.

Underneath is something new for us: a dual footbed system. Two footbeds in the box — the everyday Goodsole footbed you already know, and a performance footbed for the days you pick up the pace. Swap them in seconds and the shoe changes with you. No break-in, designed in New Zealand for the track, the commute and the long walk home.

Every pair ships with two footbeds: a cushioned top layer that absorbs impact, over a firm, contoured base with the arch support built in. Your arch is held up rather than sinking into foam, which is the thing people mention most after the first week. Wear both. If you want more room, lift the top one out and the arch support stays where it is.

Our 2001 Parallel and Crossroads styles run about half a size smaller than our other styles. If you're between sizes, go up. Size guide.

Returns

If your pair isn’t right, you can return or exchange it within 14 days of delivery — and we cover the UK return shipping. Unworn, tried on indoors on carpet. See our shipping & returns page to start a return.

Waterproof before the first wear and top up now and then. Suede: dry brush and waterproof spray. Leather: a damp cloth, with leather cream occasionally. Canvas: cold water and mild soap. No washing machine.

A tree planted for every pair. Footbeds made from 25% plant-based material, covered in 70% recycled fabric. Leather from Leather Working Group tanneries. Organic-cotton laces and dust bag, and a recycled-cardboard box with a fabric handle, so no extra bag. More on Treadlightly.
